7) Romaine Lettuce
If you love salad, then here’s a vegetable you should try planting at home. Like a number of greens above, save the bottom part of the romaine lettuce and put it inside a bowl with about half an inch of water. Place the bowl where there is ample sunlight, and don’t forget to change the water daily.
Within a week you should see some sprouts appearing and that’s when you can move the plant to a pot with soil. You should be able to start harvesting once the height reaches about 6 inches. Remember to always leave the base for regrowth.
